The Hoyas’ rich blue and grey tones aren’t new to the NIKE, Inc. family of brands, having appeared on the Nike Dunk High‘s inaugural collection in 1985. Since then, the two-color arrangement has appeared on other popular silhouettes, including the Air Jordan 11 Low. It’s appearance on the latest iteration of #23’s 36-year-old silhouette, however, is particularly a treat as it harkens back to the Swoosh’s “Be True To Your School” campaign, and lands on the closest-to-the-original build of the Jordan 1 currently offered. High-quality leather throughout the upper divvy up the light grey and deep blue colors borrowed from Georgetown University, while nylon tongues deliver vintage appeal given their slightly-yellowed makeup.
