This is a lovely 1920s reproduction hat. It's made using synthetic horsehair, intricately woven and twisted into a soutache-like lace. The edges are wavy and there is a pleated section below the flowers. The inside is lined in a sheer black synthetic fabric. The appliqued flowers are velvet, dyed in pink gradient with bright magenta edges fading into pale pink. They are backed in a stiff pale pink cotton. The centres are bright yellow with realistic-looking 3D pollen. There is a single shiny green leaf underneath.

CONDITION: Good condition structurally. The brim needs to be restitched in place on the front. The flowers are quite dilapidated and need to be pressed back into place and stitched down.
